Wendy has worked with more than 1000+ families with various learning, social, and emotional issues. She believes children express themselves naturally through play and art so she utilizes play and art therapy techniques to enhance children’s self-awareness and furthermore assist them to identify and verbalize their feelings instead of acting them out. She works with parents to identify the emotional needs of their children and guide them to support their children with the challenges, changes, and stress in life. She specializes in families who are dealing with divorce, custody battles, grieving, and sudden changes. She works with children with ADD/ADHD, anger outburst beyond the toddler age, anxiety, and depression. Wendy has not only provided individual and family therapy but also runs children’s art and play therapy groups, social and emotional intelligence learning groups in person and online.
Wendy became passionate about working with gifted and twice-exceptional children and young adults in recent years when she noticed the majority of her clients were gifted or twice-exceptional. She has devoted a significant amount of time studying this group and researching the information to better assist them. She was introduced to the non-profit organization, Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted(SENG), and attended several of their conferences and training workshops. She is a certified SENG Model Parent Group facilitator and has run a parent support group.
Wendy is proud of her Asian American heritage and has enjoyed her journey of becoming a female entrepreneur. She has never ceased learning in life and has loved working with her clients to find their true self and a new balance in life. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin.
